✔ Maintain minimum 1.5 GPM coolant flow
✔ Ensure the external oil supply line is connected before startup
✔ Verify air, coolant and oil fittings are properly sealed before startup
✔ Drain all air reservoirs before servicing air brake components
✔ Inspect or replace the discharge line from the compressor head before installation
✔ Avoid sharp bends, restrictions or damaged air lines
✔ Confirm compatibility with the specific C15/C18 engine casting and mounting before installation
✔ Torque cylinder head fasteners to 265–292 in-lb
✔ Torque governor adapter fasteners to 195–213 in-lb
✔ Torque rear end cover fasteners to 195–213 in-lb
✔ Torque inlet port fitting (M27 × 2) to 991–1089 in-lb
✔ Torque discharge port fitting (M22 × 1.5) to 814–912 in-lb
✔ Torque water port fitting (M18 × 1.5) to 593–637 in-lb
✔ Torque oil port (7/16-16 UNF) to 150–170 in-lb
✔ Tighten unloader port (1/8-27 NPT) 2–3 turns from finger tight
