IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTES:
✔ Block wheels before service to prevent vehicle movement.
✔ Release spring with air through emergency inlet before removing release bolt and washer.
✔ If air is unavailable, use release bolt and washer with a hand wrench until internal stop is contacted.
✔ Disconnect air lines and mounting hardware before removing unit.
✔ Handle unit carefully due to approximate 50 lb weight.
✔ Use proper press and apply slow, light pressure during disassembly and reassembly.
✔ Clean sealing surfaces before applying sealing compound.
✔ Keep sealing compound off packing cup outer lip.
✔ Allow sealing compound under retainer ring to set for at least 8 hours.
✔ Lubricate specified bores, seal grooves, and O-rings during reassembly.
✔ Torque service and emergency chamber cap screws to 100–125 in-lb.
✔ Replace service filter with new supplied filter.
✔ Install rubber plug into release bolt hole after release bolt removal.
✔ Adjust brakes to vehicle specifications.
✔ Confirm brake adjuster is approximately 90° to push rod when fully applied.
✔ Test full brake operation before removing wheel blocks.
