DESCRIPTION:
Model: Haldex BE13240 LP-2 Pneumatic Low-Pressure Switch
Vehicles: Freightliner, Volvo, Mack, International, Kenworth, Peterbilt, and other heavy-duty vehicles with compatible pneumatic warning circuits
• Switch Type: Pneumatically actuated, single-pole, two-terminal pressure switch
• Actuation Pressure: 55 PSI
• Circuit Position: Normally closed at zero pressure
• Electrical Terminals: Two
• Pneumatic Port: One 1/8"-27 NPT
• Operating Voltage: 12/24 VDC
• Function: Changes electrical circuit position when system air pressure crosses the specified 55 PSI threshold
• System Use: Low-air-pressure warning light and related pneumatic brake warning circuits
Applications:
Designed for heavy-duty vehicle air brake systems requiring a normally closed low-pressure switch with a 55 PSI actuation point. It is typically replaced when the low-air warning remains active at normal pressure, fails to activate during a pressure loss, changes state at the wrong pressure, or develops an air or electrical fault.

A cross-reference listing means this part may be a suitable replacement for the listed part numbers. Always verify fitment before installation.
IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTES:
✔ Fully drain air-system pressure before removing or installing the switch.
✔ Apply pneumatic-grade thread sealant to the 1/8"-27 NPT connection without allowing sealant to enter the switch.
✔ Confirm the system requires a normally closed, two-terminal switch with a 55 PSI actuation point.
✔ Connect the two electrical terminals according to the vehicle wiring schematic.
✔ Pressurize the system and verify correct warning-circuit operation above and below 55 PSI with no air leakage.
