DESCRIPTION:
Model: Sealco RD045 Ratio Service Relay Valve
Vehicles: Tandem axle trailers using compatible non-ABS service brake systems
• Valve Type: Non-ABS ratio service relay valve
• Control Port: One 3/8" NPT female
• Supply/Auxiliary Port: One 3/8" NPT female
• Reservoir/Tank Port: One 3/4" NPT female
• Delivery Ports: Four 3/8" NPT female
• Nominal Crack Pressure: 4.5 PSI
• SAE J1860 Identification Tag: RD045
• Normal Braking Ratio: 1:1
• Temporary Boost Ratio: 1:1.5 during rapid brake applications
• Mounting: Direct tank-mounted configuration
• Function: Uses control pressure to rapidly deliver reservoir air to four service brake chamber connections
Applications:
Designed for tandem axle trailer service brake systems requiring a four-delivery-port relay valve with a nominal 4.5 PSI crack pressure. The valve operates at a 1:1 ratio during normal braking and momentarily increases delivery pressure during rapid applications. It is not intended for converter dollies, lift axles, or trailer turntable axle systems.

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTES:
✔ Fully depressurize the trailer air brake system before removing or installing the valve.
✔ Confirm one 3/8" control port, one 3/8" supply/auxiliary port, one 3/4" reservoir port, and four 3/8" delivery ports.
✔ Verify the application requires a nominal 4.5 PSI crack pressure and the RD045 ratio configuration.
✔ Mount securely to the reservoir, reconnect all lines according to the trailer pneumatic schematic, and apply thread sealant sparingly.
✔ Pressurize the system and verify balanced service brake response, ratio operation, release performance, and no air leakage.
