IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTES:
✔ Clean caliper bores and carrier surfaces thoroughly before installation.
✔ Always use OEM-spec bolts (M18/M14) and torque to Meritor specifications.
✔ Apply high-temp brake grease on guide pins and bushings to ensure free sliding.
✔ Install new seals, bushings, and adjuster components during service.
✔ Mount caliper axially using the 4 carrier holes; align precisely with rotor face.
✔ Install brake pads before tightening all hardware; verify pad free play.
✔ Adjust manually until pads contact rotor, then back off half a turn.
✔ Confirm correct orientation—EX225L220 (RH) and EX225L221 (LH).
✔ Replace worn or oval bushings with proper round/oval types from repair kit.
✔ Inspect rotor condition and run-out before completing installation.
