✔ Torque anchor pin bolts to 20–30 ft-lbs (consult axle manufacturer)
✔ Align brake shoes evenly within the backing plate for proper drum engagement
✔ Use existing or new return springs/hardware kit (not included)
✔ Inspect shoes for wear or contamination; replace if below minimum friction thickness
✔ After installation, adjust shoes and confirm proper drag/engagement before towing
