DESCRIPTION:
Model: LQ-4 Style Limiting/Quick Release Valve
Vehicles: Used on front or steering axles of heavy-duty trucks and trailers with air brake systems
• Supply Port Size: 3/8" NPT
• Delivery Port Size: 3/8" NPT
• Nominal Hold-Off Pressure: 4 PSI
• Nominal Equalizing Pressure: 60 PSI
• Mounting Holes: (2) 19/32" diameter, 1-1/2" on center
• Valve Type: Dual-function—reduces application pressure and provides quick exhaust
• Housing: Cast body, designed for rugged front axle applications
Applications: Used on the front axle air brake circuits of heavy-duty commercial trucks and trailers. Automatically limits the braking pressure to the front brakes until hold-off pressure is achieved. Also acts as a quick release valve to exhaust air rapidly from the steering axle chambers. This LQ-4 style unit is a direct replacement for older LQ-2 units and interchangeable with a broad range of OE and aftermarket valves across multiple brands.
