DESCRIPTION:
Model: PR-2 Pressure Protection Valve
Vehicles: Compatible with air brake-equipped commercial vehicles, including Mack, Volvo, and International applications
• Protects brake system by isolating or delaying air supply to accessories or secondary reservoirs until the system reaches safe pressure
• Actuation Type: Pneumatic, normally closed, pressure-sensitive (on/off)
• Mounting: Two 17/65" holes, spaced 1.25" center-to-center
• Port Sizes:
– Supply Port: 1/4"-18 NPT
– Delivery Port: 1/4"-18 NPT
• Pressure Setting: 65 PSI ± 5
• Operating Temperature: -40°F to +200°F (-40°C to +93°C)
– Adjustable pressure threshold
– No delivery check valve
– Designed to delay filling of non-essential components
– Lock wire ready configuration
Applications:
Used in air brake systems to protect primary air supply from being compromised by accessory failure. Ideal for isolating reservoirs or delaying supply to air-suspended components until 65 PSI system pressure is reached. Commonly mounted between air tanks and auxiliary valves or systems in heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and buses.
